Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Nepal Chamber Expo 2016 at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall, Kathmandu, on Thursday, Paudel said that demands raised by Madhes-based parties will be addressed by making amendment to the constitution. "The amendment process will be completed within a week," he added.Paudel also said bringing about economic prosperity in the country will be the government's priority once the ongoing political stalemate ends.
Similarly, Naindra Prasad Upadhaya, secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, said the government will prioritize trade promotion to uplift country's economy. He also said different fairs and exhibitions play a crucial role in enhancing country's trade.
Altogether 110 national and international industries, trade organizations and business houses are participating in the five-day business exhibition.
Business firms from countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and South Korea, along other Nepal are participating in the exhibition which is being organized with the theme of 'Exhibit, Explore and Expand'. Participating business firms are showcasing products ranging from automobiles, kitchenware, furniture, gadgets, fashion ware, apparels, footwear and electronic items, among others, through 250 stalls. South Korea is the country partner of the exhibition.
"Nepal Chamber Expo is our initiation to establish quality business event to bring together enterprises for showcasing growing trend of trade and industry and its future potential," NCC President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha said. Shrestha also said that the exhibition will play a vital role in increasing exports by promoting export-oriented products and services.
