Eighteen models, including six from Kathmandu, participated in ‘Summer Fashion’ -- a fashion show organized by DS Collection in Midtown Galleria, Sabhagriha on Sunday. The event flaunted dresses in pastel colors, floral prints, one shoulder designs, and more.
Also, the models walked the ramp in casual dresses in ‘kind beautiful’, ‘kind bold’, and in ‘plus size’ themes. According to the organizers, the event looked to promote the collection of the organizers, DS Collection. Jenny Gurung, owner of DS Collection added, “The event will be organized on the different cities in DS Collection’s stores.”
Experiences of summer splash
Model Muskan Ghotan explained her experience of walking the ramp. She mentioned that the event was unique and enthusiastic mainly because it flaunted summer collections. Nisha Panti, the MC of the event mentioned that a similar event conducted in Dharan saw a huge success in encouraging the youths to dress up per the demand. Gurung further stated that the event was organized for the youths wanting to make their dress-ups different and up to date in a summer season.
The event had Niti Shah as the showstopper while singer Rajni Rhythm Rai entertained the audience with her songs.
