KATHMANDU, March 10: Suhang Nembang has filed his candidacy on behalf of the CPN-UML in the by-elections to be held on April 27.
After the death of former Speaker and Chairman of the Constituent Assembly, Subash Nembang, his son Suhang filed his candidacy in the by-elections to be held in Ilam-2. UML's Ilam district committee has formed a task force to select candidates.
Suhang Nembang's journey from a lawyer to a lawmaker
The task force led by the party’s vice chairman in Ilam, Uday Bahadur Rai, had asked the candidates for applications. According to the coordinator Rai, four people including Suhang have applied so far.
Suhang, Rabindra Subedi, Buddhi Khanal and Devi Chhetri Dulal have filed their applications. This list is scheduled to be submitted to the district committee within March 16.
