The provincial government expects to mobilize Rs 1.72 billion through internal revenue, receive Rs 10.249 billion from the federal government’s revenue-sharing mechanism and Rs 70 million from royalty sharing. It also expects Rs 9.063 billion in fiscal equalization grants from the federal government.

Other projected sources include Rs 9.65 billion in estimated savings from the previous fiscal year’s budget, Rs 6.036 billion in conditional grants, Rs 388 million in federal matching grants and Rs 527.6 million in special grants.

Besides agriculture, tourism and health, the budget includes programmes focused on infrastructure development, education, self-employment, industry, medicinal herbs, energy, social justice, drinking water and employment generation.

Dhami had presented a budget of Rs 37.70 billion for fiscal year 2026/27 on June 15. However, disputes delayed its tabling in the Provincial Assembly by three weeks, and discussions never began.

The dispute eventually led to the collapse of the coalition government formed by the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML. A new government backed by the CPN and CPN-UML was formed in Sudurpashchim on August 14.
