PARBAT, Oct 22: The first test of the world's second longest superman zipline which was under construction at Kusma Bazaar in Parbat has been successful. The test in a 1,400-meter-long zip line from Chakle Dil in Kusma Municipality-5 to Saune Bagar passing over the Kaligandaki River was conducted on Monday.
The Harness Zipline has stated that they are preparing to open the zipline to the public after it is tested more than 200 times.
‘Superman zipline’ to be launched in Pokhara soon
The zipline at Parbat is the second longest zipline in the world. The world's longest 2800 m zipline is located in Dubai. In the classic zipline, you sit on the rope as if you were sitting in a chair, while in the Superman zipline, you lay like Superman to reach your destination. Although the classic zipline in Nepal is longer than this, it is the second longest in the world in Superman style.
This zipline can carry two people together and will reach the destination in 60 to 90 seconds. It is built by Shyam Zipline of India. Although the speed of the zipline depends on the speed of the wind and the weight of the person, it flows at a speed of 130 kilometers per hour and gradually decreases as it gets closer to the destination.
The zipline will start from a height of 238 meters from the surface of Kaligandaki River and its landing will be at the resort, to be built on the banks of the river.
