Indian filmmaker and director Subash Ghai is all set to visit Nepal in April. He expressed his plans to visit Nepal during an interaction with a team of Kantipur Film Academy, who had reached India.
Subhash Ghai: teaching the tricks of the trade
According to a press release, Founder/CEO of the Academy, Prakash Puri and Academic Director at the Academy, Niresh Kumar KC along with their students of filmmaking faculty Ashin Paudel and Baburam Raut were the members of the group that visited the Whistling Woods International Institute in Mumbai, India. During the interaction, the artists agreed about the need for students’ reciprocity, faculty reciprocity, organizing workshops, providing scholarship in Nepal on an annual basis.
Prominent actress Manisha Koirala had kick-started her career in the film industry with Ghai’s directorial film ‘Saudagar’ in 1992. After Whistling Woods, the Nepali team is scheduled to visit FTII, Pune and Balaji Television as well.
