Students evacuated from Wuhan to be quarantined

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: The government is planning to quarantine Nepali students studying in Wuhan in case they are evacuated from the epicenter of coronavirus, a senior government official said.

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: The government is planning to quarantine Nepali students studying in Wuhan in case they are evacuated from the epicenter of coronavirus, a senior government official said.

“The government will impose quarantine on them for a certain period so that the virus doesn’t spread. The students will be under the observation of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD),” the official said. “They can be quarantined in their own homes, and the government will closely observe the health condition of the students,” the official added. 


On Saturday, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Bhattarai said that the government is fully prepared to evacuate students from Wuhan.
