ICMS students, APF Valley Command jointly donate relief materials to Aama Ghar

KATHMANDU, April 5: A group of students from the Institute of Crisis Management Studies, Dhumbarahi and Armed Police Force Valley Command Office have jointly donated relief materials including daily essentials to Gurjudhara-based 'Aama Ghar', an elderly home-cum-orphanage run by social worker Dilsobha Shrestha.



The group provided rice, vegetables and other daily essentials to the elderly home a few days ago. The APF personnel also helped to refill gas for the elderly home. Deputy Mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Hari Prabha Khadgi also extended her support to distribute relief materials along with students and activists. The relief distribution program was coordinated by Narayan Adhikari.

APF Valley Command Office DIG CP Gautam was also present during the relief distribution program. The APF provided supply and logistics facilities to the students, according to Adhikari.


The elderly home has also hit hard by the nationwide lockdown announced by the government to prevent the coronavirus outbreak.


APF has vowed to continue extending support to the people who are more vulnerable at the time of natural disasters or global crisis like coronavirus.


Moreover, APF personnel are also engaged in implementing the lockdown orders in various parts of the country. The APF hospital has also designated a COVID-19 treatment zone.
