Strike enforcers vandalize vehicles in the capital

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Two vehicles were vandalized and torched in course of bandh enforced by Tamsaling Nepal National Party United Front on Sunday.



The Front resorted to enforce bandh putting forward several demands including promulgation of new constitution and according high priority to Tamsaling area in the new constitution.[break]



Bandh enforcers have vandalized a taxi (Ba 1 Ja 7878) at Tusal in Bouddha and torched another taxi (Ba 1 Ja 421) in Sanepa of Lalitpur.



Police informed that security personnel have been massively mobilized in various parts of the Valley to curb any untoward incident during bandh.



It is said the bandh has affected Valley including Makawanpur, Nuwakot, Kavreplanchowk, Sindhupalchowk, Ramechhap, Sindhuli, Dolakha and Chitwan districts.



Mostly students, businesspersons and employees have been hit hard due to bandh.



Front Chairman Parshuram Tamang informed that police held 12 bandh enforcers from Gangabu, 13 from Hetauda and some from Chuchhepati in Kathmandu.



Meanwhile, a person died in a road accident in New Baneshor last night.



The deceased has been identified as Thir Prasad Nepal of Morang district.



According to Police, the incident took place when a motorcycle (Ba 23 Pa 2595) Nepal was riding collided with road divider.



He died while undergoing treatment at Civil Servants Hospital, Minbhawan, said traffic police.
