Rahul BK was the key person who destroyed Prithu XI batting order, taking three wickets in nine overs. Amrit Shrestha was not out with 31 runs off 46 balls. Naresh Budhayer scored 26 runs off 76 balls.

Maharjan sets up title clash with Bajracharya
KATHMANDU: Suraj Maharjan set up a title clash with Raju Bajracharya the men’s singles of the Open Men’s Badminton Tournament after winning their respective matches on Wednesday. Maharjan defeated Rajesh Shakya 21-8, 21-12 while Bajracharya over came Kamal Shakya 21-10, 12-21, 21-8 at the covered hall of Dasharath Stadium. In the men’s doubles, the pair of Sudip Budathoki and Rakesh Singh and the duo Kishor Byanjankar and Suraj Maharjan advanced into the final. In the veteran’s doubles, Milan Raj Bhandari and Mana Bista made it to the final along with Ganesh Subba and Anil Bikram Shah. The finals will be held on Thursday.

KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Vanasthali advanced into the final of the ongoing Coca-cola Inter-school National Football Tournament with a 1-0 victory over Gyanodaya Bal Batika in Group A on Wednesday. Muskan Lama scored the only goal for the victory of Siddhartha Vanasthai at ANFA complex, Satdobato.
Likewise, Ever Vision secured the final spot of Group A defeating Lovely Angels 3-0. Suman Rijal, Navaraj Dhamal Dewan and Surya Bahadur Magar scored a goal each in Ever Vision’s victory. In another match, Gandhi Adarsha defeated Gyan Bigyan 3-1. Saroj Thapa scored two goals while Navaraj Bhujel scored a goal to seal the win for Gandhi.
