Electing to bat first, Raj Sports accumulated 119 runs in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Tiger achieved the target in 16 overs losing three wickets. [break]
Sandip Rai smashed 46 runs for Tiger and Ganesh Chhetri added 39 runs. For Raj Sports, Mubarak Ali and and Muhamad Ali scored 21 runs each.
Similarly, Juber Halwai claimed three wickets for Tiger and Khemjung Malla and Sandip Shreshta hauled one wicket each.
Sandip of the winning side was adjudged man-of-the-match.
Kantipur, Teresa in basketball final
KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Kantipur English School and Teresa Academy set up the title clash winning their respective semifinal matches of the ongoing Kwiks Inter-school Girls´ Basketball Tournament on Sunday.
Kantipur had a narrow 41-34 win over Valley Public. Rohini Limbu of Kantipur and Samichan Bista of Valley netted 15 points each in the match.
In another match, Teresa eased past TIA 35-16. Sarita Lama of the winning side topscored with 14 points.
The final and third place matches will be held on Monday.
The tournament is organized by Kathmandu Academy.
