India secures first position
KATHMANDU: India secured first positions in both regu and double takraw on Satruday during the first South Asian Sepaw Takraw Invitational Championship held in Kathmandu. In the final of both category, India edged past Nepal 2-1. The main title of regu and double takraw will be held between India and Nepal on Saturday.
Forward, Innovative win titles
KATHMANDU: Forward and Innovative won the senior and junior boy’s titles on Saturday in the Seventh Kwiks Cheese Balls Greenland Inter-school Basketball Tournament. In the senior’s final, Forward toiled hard to beat HSCA 48-47 with 18 points from Man Bahadur Gurbuja. Angels Heart won the third place match. In junior’s final, Innovative edged past Odyssey 40-36. Ashok Pudasaini contributed 14 points to the winning side. Host Greenland won the third place playoff.
