The speaker had earlier instructed the parliament secretariat to look into the matter and prepare a report. A team of officials led by Manohar Bhattarai, general secretary at the secretariat, submitted the report to the speaker on Tuesday.
Officials at the secretariat said Nembang handed over the report to Gurung urging him to take action against the lawmaker and apprise the parliament secretariat about the action taken.
"I urge the Maoist chief whip to take action against the lawmaker who made a proxy take his exams," said the speaker. Lawmaker Pulami, who was elected from Makawanpur 2, had made Sahitya Syangten, 25, from the same district to take optional math exams for him.
