Submitting a memorandum to the Chief District Officer (CDO) Chudamani Sharma, Ujjan´s family pleaded for security. Ujjan´s sister Sabitri Shrestha, 47, of Lazimpat-2, told Republica, “Some unidentified people have been threatening to take my life if I continue to participate in the Occupy Baluwatar Campaign and demand justice.”[break]
UCPN Maoists leader Dhungel has already been convicted by the Supreme Court of Ujjan´s murder.
She claimed that the Maoist cadres first tried to persuade her not to participate in the campaign and then issued life threats. “I tried to meet Chairman of the Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi, whose bench had convicted Dhungel of the murder, but I didn´t get an appointment,” she said.

A group of civil society leaders and human right activists led by Kanakmani Dixit, Sushil Pyakurel, Charan Prasain and others had reached the District Administration Office to meet CDO Sharma.
According to rights activists´ Charan Prasain, CDO Sharma assured them that victims´ concerns would be conveyed to the concerned authority. “We want justice to the victims and the government must address the concerns of the victims at the earliest,” said Prasain.
Shrestha was murdered in Okhaldhunga in 1999. The Supreme Court had found Dhungel guilty of Ujjan´s murder in 2010 and had sentenced him to lifetime imprisonment along with confiscation of all his property. But, Dhungel has not been arrested yet.
