"I am pretty sure that among all the other models from Skoda, Yeti is going to be the most popular one because it provides a driving experience of a sedan and performance of an SUV," said Glaser on the occasion.
The Yeti is available in 13 different colors -- candy white, corrida red, brilliant silver, rosso brunello, aqua blue, anthracite grey, black magic pearl, platin grey, storm blue, cappuccino beige, pacific blue, mato brown and amazonia green.
The car has features like panoramic sunroof, roof rails, four wheels drive, electric windows, power mirror, power steering, dual exhaust and alloy wheels, music system with eight speakers, Xenon headlights, integrated fog lamp and factory fitted rear sensor. The Yeti also has electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors that defog the mirrors automatically.
The rear central seat can be folded to make an arm-rest or a table. The display in the front shows the kilometers that the car can travel before running out of fuel, outside temperature, average speed and average mileage.
The ´intelligent´ air-conditioner also reads the direction of sunrays and adjusts temperature accordingly. Along with ´normal´ safety features like central lock, dual airbag, keyless entry, side protection strips and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The passenger airbag can be switched off when a child is seated in the front seat.
Yeti is full of features and safety and is going to cost Rs 5.1 million in the market of Nepal. "We are looking forward to selling about 100 units of this vehicle every year," added Glaser.
