KALIKOT, Aug 14: Six members of same family were killed when a house was swept away by landslides that occurred in Mahabai Rural Municipality-3 of Kalikot Thursday midnight.
According to Khem Bahadur Singh, an aide to Chief Minister of Karnali Province Mahendra Shahi, the incident took place at around 12PM when the house belonging to Rajbahadur Bista swept away by the rain-triggered landslides at Naku area.

The deceased have been identified as Rajbahadur's son 13-year-old Pushpa Bista, 11-year-old Prabin Bista, 18-year-old Sabina Bista, 15-year-old Asha Bista.
Likewise, Rajbahadur's elder brother Dilbahadur Bista, 19-year-ld Shanti Bista, and 10-year-ld Resha Bista have also been buried in landslides. Meanwhile, two persons were injured after a house was swept away by landslides at Naraharinath Rural Municipality.
