KATHMANDU, June 23: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that there is a plan to clear the site of Nijgadh International Airport within the fiscal year 2023/24.


During a question and answer session with the Prime Minister in the House of Representatives (HoR) on Friday, Prime Minister Dahal addressed the concerns raised by parliamentarians. He assured that the government is committed to allocating the necessary budget for national pride projects. In the event of budget reductions, additional funds will be arranged to ensure the progress of these projects. The government's focus remains on providing land acquisition compensation for national pride projects and other prioritized initiatives.

He said, "The government has ensured the budget for national pride projects." An additional budget has been arranged in the event of a decrease in the fund for national pride projects. Our attention is directed towards clearing the Nijgadh International Airport site in the upcoming fiscal year. The government is positive about operating the train service. The government's priority is to distribute land acquisition compensation and compensation for projects of national pride and other priority initiatives. In the coming days, it will be addressed through the relevant agencies along with the necessary budget arrangements.
