Thousands of locals mainly from Newar community of Kathmandu Valley gathered at Maitighar mandal on Wednesday to protest against the Guthi bill registered by the government in the National Assembly. Though the government on Tuesday announced withdrawal of the bill, the demonstrators took to the street demanding that the proposed law be scrapped altogether.
