"I am optimistic that the parties will be able to forge a crucial consensus before the PM´s visit to India," Dahal said while inaugurating a district level sports tournament. "Serious talks are underway among major political parties to forge consensus," he said.

Dahal added that he has devoted all his energy to expedite the twin tasks of peace process and constitution writing. "I am hopeful that we will be able to make significant progress within a few days," he said.
