PALPA, Sept 30: The landslide triggered by incessant rainfall on Friday night has obstructed the Sidda Baba road section in Palpa district, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded on the road since Friday night. 


According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shanta Bahadur Basnet at the District Police Office, Palpa, traffic came to a halt after the landslide debris fell on the road section at around 10 pm.

As the vehicles could not move along the road section, passengers were unable to reach their destinations, shared DSP Basnet. 


"Since the big rocks have fallen on the road, it has been difficult to clear the of debris, although dozer and excavator have been mobilized for the same," said Basnet, hoping that the vehicular movement along the Sidda Baba road section would resume by today morning.(RSS)
