Shree Kumari goes top

KATHMANDU, Feb 8: Shree Kumari climbed to the top of the points table on Friday after a 3-1 comeback win over Kathmandu Club during the Martyrs Memorial Red Bull B Division Football League being held at the APF ground in Halchowk.



Ashish Lama put Kathmandu ahead in the 22nd minute but Sunil Shrestha hit back the equalizer in the 43rd minute and netted his second goal in the 67th minute. Prem Lama sealed victory for Shree Kumari during the stoppage time.[break]



The result lifted unbeaten Shree Kumari to the top of the table with 11 points, one point more than second and third placed Tusal and Boys Union Club which have a match advantage over the leader. Kathmandu Club is still without a point after playing five matches.



Meanwhile, Boys Union´s winning run came to an end after it was held to a 1-1 draw by Satdobato Youth Club. Nishan Limbu put Boys Union ahead in the 34th minute but Manoj Bista found the equalizer in the 76th minute. Satdobato lies in the 10th place with four points.



In another match, Swayambhu beat United Youth 2-0 with both goals coming in the second half. Shankar Shrestha gave Swayambu the lead in the 63rd minute and Anjan Lakhaju doubled the tally in the 75th minute. Swayambhu lies in the fourth place with eight points while United is in the ninth place with six points. Both teams have played five matches each.
