Initially admitted to the emergency ward, Shailaja was later shifted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Her well wishers, NC leaders and cadres have gathered at the hospital to visit Shailaja and wish for her recovery.
Shailaja was sent home after a long treatment at home and abroad few days ago.
Doctors suspected that former deputy prime minister and niece of former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala developed Alzheimer´s disease.
The 68-year-old unmarried NC leader had earlier undergone treatment at Bangkok’s Bumrungrad Hospital. She was taken to the Thai capital on May 26, 2008 after four months of treatment for depression at TUTH failed to yield results.
