Different countries like Nepal, Malaysia, Australia, India has introduced various offers during the mart to attract the travelers to their countries.Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), national flag carrier has resumed its flight to two Indian cities Delhi and Mumbai directly from Kathmandu coinciding the mart. "We are providing a ticket free for the purchase of two round fare trip to both the cities," said Saroj Kasaju commercial director of NAC, adding that it is soon connecting Nepal to Kolkota directly and Nepal to Sri Lanka via Bangalore.
Tourism Authority of Malaysia is offering special packages for the upcoming 'Malaysia Year End Sale', scheduled to be held from November 14 to January 3 2016. The packages have been designed to boost arrivals to the country during the event. "India is a significant contributor to tourism as it is the sixth top tourist market for us," said Deputy Director-General (International Promotion), Tourism Malaysia, Datuk Azizan Noordin. A total of 770,108 Indian visitors visited Malaysia in 2014.
Similarly, according to Press Release Watch, Tourism Australia recently launched media campaign in association with its key distribution and airline partners in the primary markets of Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore through the successful and established platform of 'There's Nothing like Australia'.
Customers traveling to Australia from India can get the travel packages starting at Indian Rs 119,000.
The statement said that Tourism Australia has also launched a special offer at IRs 58,000 in collaboration with Indian Airlines which is available till the end of September and the travelers have to fly by October 31.
"We have organized the mart in the Silicon Valley of India this year as our aim is to promote new destinations, strengthen tourism in member countries and providing investment forum in partner countries," said Kevin Murphy , chairman of PATA during the inaugural ceremony of the three day long travel mart held in Bangalore.
The 2015 edition of the PATA Travel Mart had 456 sellers from 266 organizations and 28 destinations. There were 242 buyers from 233 organizations from around 61 countries.
During the mart, Nepal was effectively able to use the platform of PATA's signature event to reach out to its high-end market and clientele and was highly successful sending out the message that "all is well", that life is back to normal in Nepal and that Nepal is "Back on Top of the World", said a press statement issued by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).
The PATA Travel Mart 2016 will be held in Indonesia in 2016.
Andrew Jones, vice president of PATA said that every destination has its own unique selling point and the expo is beneficial for all. "For example Indonesia site of next PATA mart mentioned destination is not aiming to be cheap, but providing value for money, which supports PATA's contention when promoting a destination," said Jones.
"We are pleased to see the recovery of Nepal's tourism is going well. There was a very positive response from the travel trade at the mart to the recovery efforts of the government and industry in Nepal. We appreciate and are happy to learn that a number of the PATA Nepal Tourism Rapid Recovery Task Force have been implemented and appear to be working well in helping the tourism in Nepal to Bounce Back", he added.
The host country India especially Karnataka was able to attract the participant with their cultural performances and the warm hospitality.
