Security personnel and waste management team join hands to clear waste in Kapan after locals’ protest (Photo Feature)

KATHMANDU, July 30: Nepal Police personnel and waste management team of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) have cleared garbage from the road after local residents blocked the road that was strewn with waste in Saraswatinagar area in Kapan on Saturday.

KATHMANDU, July 30: Nepal Police personnel and waste management team of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) have cleared garbage from the road after local residents blocked the road that was strewn with waste in Saraswatinagar area in Kapan on Saturday.


The local residents had staged protests as a waste collecting vehicle took a single load of garbage and asked them to manage the waste by themselves until another tip arrives for collecting it.

Earlier on July 20, the KMC had requested all people concerned to not take out the waste generated from houses, shops and businesses for the next seven days.
