BIRGUNJ, March 29: With the local level elections just around the corner, Armed Police Force (APF) has stepped up security at bordering area with India in the districts - Parsa and Bara.
As part of the security arrangement that aims to hold the polls in a fair and peaceful manner, patrolling and checking are being carried out on a daily basis, APF Deputy Inspector General Narendra Kumar Singh told Rastriya Samachar Samiti.
APF from 16 districts in mid western region has been directed to be prepared for the polls, he added.
He also said APF subordinate bodies have also been directed to keep high alert to ensure no criminal activities take place along the bordering areas in view of the elections.
And for that Seema Suraksha Bal, Indian border security force, is also being coordinated with, he said. RSS
