KATHMANDU, Jan 13: Police have arrested Dharmendra Bastola, chief of Western Command of Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplab’-led Communist Party of Nepal(CPN) from the bordering area of Makwanpur and Lalitpur districts on Tuesday afternoon, confirmed a senior police officer.
The arrested Bastola is the Secretariat member and the chief of foreign relations department of the outlawed party.
The government has already outlawed the party after the party was found involved in a series of illegal activities including extortions and killings.
