School principal dies in tractor accident

KHOTANG, May 22: A school principal died in a tractor accident in Khotang. 

Makardhwaj Rai, the headmaster of Beldanda Basic School in Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-1 Bahuni Danda, died after being run over by a tractor.

Headmaster Rai died after being crushed by tractor number (Ko 2 Ta 4676) at Bahuni Danda on Sunday evening.

Rai fell while trying to board the tractor. According to Police Inspector Benu Karki, Rai was crushed by the rear wheel of the tractor after falling and died on the spot. 

Police have arrested the tractor driver and started an investigation.
