KATHMANDU, Oct 30: The Supreme Court (SC) will continue to hear petitions for writs of habeas corpus during the Tihar holidays. According to the court administration, the court will be open from 11 AM to 3 PM except on Saturday and the day of Bhai Tika.
SC to continue habeas corpus hearings during Dashain holidays
A notification from the Supreme Court administration reads, "Since the Supreme Court will be closed from October 31 to November 4 in observance of Deepawali, 2081, according to Section 26 of the Administration of Justice Act, 2073, the court will accept and hear habeas corpus petitions in the morning hours on weekdays, excluding Saturdays and the day of Bhai Tika.”
