KATHMANDU, Jan 27: Samsung Nepal officially announced the beginning of a new era of Mobile AI with the release of its new Galaxy S24 Series during a launch event held in the capital on Friday.

Director of Samsung Nepal, Pranaya Ratna Sthapit along with Miss Nepal World 2018 Shrinkhala Khaitiwada unveiled the new Galaxy S24 Series at the event.

"Galaxy S24 is truly the phone of the future. Together with Samsung Galaxy AI we will reshape the technology landscape by providing ultra-personalized user experience. As our first-ever truly AI powered phone, the device combines Galaxy exclusive performance and experiences together. Today we are opening a new chapter without barriers to unleash human potential," a statement issued by Samsung Nepal quoted Sthapit as saying.

According to Samsung Nepal, the event saw the presence of distinguished guests from media, corporate houses and emerging creators. All the guests had an exclusive opportunity to experience this new era first-hand at the event through the Experience zone which featured the newly unveiled Galaxy S24 Series smart phones, added the company. 

“Everyone seemed to have been very impressed and captivated by their first impression of the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy AI awaiting to be able to bring this experience to their lives,” stated the press statement issued by the company.

The company claimed that the newly-launched Galaxy AI offers innovative AI features to enhance user experiences, enabling seamless communication anywhere, anytime. This new range of features was introduced during the event via live demonstration.

The Galaxy S24 series offers Live Translate, real-time, two-way call translations within the native call app. The feature supports audio and text translations for up to 13 languages, no matter what phone the other person uses. Additionally, the company claimed that Galaxy AI is more secure as it operates on-device instead of relying on external cloud systems.

“The Galaxy S24 series can be conveniently used in everyday life. The device can act as a user’s personal Interpreter, whether they are lost and asking for directions or ordering food at a restaurant. Furthermore, when a user sends a text, Chat Assist immediately translates the message, allowing users to easily text with friends in the language they’re most comfortable speaking.”

With Transcript Assist, users can create and share short summaries of recorded conversations or use Note Assist to stay organized during meetings, added the statement. Finally, the new Android Auto feature allows drivers to navigate safely, access their favorite media and stay connected while on the road.

The Galaxy S24 has various features including new ways to search assisted by AI, boosting content creation with enhanced camera feature,  optimal mobile gaming experiences through powerful performance, advanced security and privacy and sustainability offering seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates to help users reliably experience the optimized performance of their Galaxy devices for even longer.

According to the company, pre-booking for Galaxy S24 series was opened in Nepal from January 19, 2024 and the response was overwhelming. All the pre-order stocks were booked within the days of its announcement. The devices will now be available in the market from February 7, according to the company.  

In addition, with Samsung Insta Finance service available at authorized Samsung Stores across the country the customers can get this new phone in easy EMI at 0% interest rate starting from NPR 6000. The process is hassle free and the customers will probably walk out of the store within an hour with a brand-new Galaxy S24 series, claimed Samsung Nepal. Samsung is also providing one-time breakage insurance for one year and there is also an exchange facility available for those who want to upgrade their smartphone.
