‘Salhesh: The people's Hero’ calls for interested actors

KATHMANDU, Feb 7: The team of film ‘Salhesh: The People's Hero’ are planning to host auditions to finalize actors for the movie. The film is based on the 1,500-year-old history of King Mithila.

KATHMANDU, Feb 7: The team of film ‘Salhesh: The People's Hero’ are planning to host auditions to finalize actors for the movie. The film is based on the 1,500-year-old history of King Mithila. 


According to Amitesh Shah, director of the film, all lead characters and dozens of supporting characters for the film will be chosen through auditions. Anyone who is interested in acting can participate in auditions, said producer of the film, Rajkumar Mahato.

According to Mahato, the film unit will organize auditions in different parts of the country, including in Biratnagar, Janakpur and Nepalgunj. Similarly, the team is also planning to reach different places of India, China and Bangladesh for auditions. 


The film is being made under the banner of Bhoor Company Pvt Ltd.  The lead character of the film, Salhesh, is considered as a good hearted person after King Janak in Mithila. People of the Dusadh community in the tarai region still worship Salhesh as a god. 


This is Shah’s second directorial feature film, while his first film ‘Kamala’ was highly appreciated felicitated. Shah pursued his study in film from Asian Academy of Film Making and Television of Delhi. He has also directed more than 60 dramas. 


According to the producer, the movie will be shot in Dhanusha, Mahottari, Siraha, Saptari, Sunsari, Morang, Jhapa, Chitwan, and in some places of India as well. “We still have some works related to the script and research,” he said.
