Ruling coalition yet to finalize seat distribution for polls

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: The meeting of the top leaders of the ruling coalition has ended without any agreement on the seat distribution among the coalition parties for the upcoming November 20 elections. The meeting in Baluwatar, which lasted for about four hours, ended without any conclusion over the allotment of seats.

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: The meeting of the top leaders of the ruling coalition has ended without any agreement on the seat distribution among the coalition parties for the upcoming November 20 elections. The meeting in Baluwatar, which lasted for about four hours, ended without any conclusion over the allotment of seats.


In today's meeting, there was a briefing about the agreements reached so far and the remaining issues. It is said that the rest of the matter will be discussed in the meeting tomorrow morning at 8AM.

As the ruling coalition did not agree on which party would get how many seats, no consensus was reached on the distribution of seats. The 11-member task force led by Krishna Prasad Sitaula held discussions for a month but failed to finalize the seat distribution and assigned the responsibility to the top leaders.
