Ruling coalition holding meeting to discuss govt’s common minimum program

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: The ruling coalition parties are scheduled to meet today (Monday) at 4 PM at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar to discuss the government’s common minimum program (CMP).


Today’s meeting will focus on drafting a CMP for running the government, and addressing other issues, evaluating the government's performance, as reported by the Prime Minister's Secretariat.

The meeting is expected to finalize the CMP, determine how to implement it, and discuss how to accelerate the government's work.


Earlier on Sunday, a meeting of top leaders held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar decided to form a task force comprising leaders from the Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML.


The task force includes General Secretary Gagan Thapa and Spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat from the NC, while Deputy General Secretaries Pradeep Gyawali and Bishnu Rimal are representing the UML.
