With the increasing debate, people of Nisi of Baglung have set ablaze 22 cowsheds of Bhim Bahadur Sunar, Jhawak Ghartimagar, Jagatsingh Budhamagar, Tule Sunar, Karna Bahadur Gharti, Bhetman Budha, Dhir Pratap Gharti, Bhim Bahadur BK, Man Kumari BK of Sera of Rukum on August 29.
People of Ward No. 1, 2, and 3 Nisheldhor of Nisi of Baglung and Ward No. 7 Sera of Taksera VDC have been debating on the pastures in the border.
Clashes erupted on August 29 after both sides claimed the land.
Some people of both sides had been injured and Nisi people had taken control five persons including Bhet Man Budha, Karna Bahadur Gharti, Dhir Pratap Gharti, Bhim Bahadur Sunar and Man Kumari BK of Rukum for one day and released later.
Rukum people have demanded stern action saying the Baglung people came and destroyed their houses and sheds and arsoned forcefully.
However, Nisi people say their forest area was encroached in ten bighas of land and arson was aimed at removing the settlements without harming the people. However, a team of District Police Office Rukum reached the site but returned after only minor enquiry.
