KATHMANDU, Sept 17: A national gathering of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) began today at the Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, marking the beginning of a significant phase for the party.
According to the party, the first day of the gathering will see the presentation of reports from all provinces, followed by reports related to finance, discipline, and parliamentary affairs. The agenda for the day also includes proposals on the party’s statute amendment, policy and ideology, values, and leadership academy.

On the second day, the party will host a series of group discussions on all the presented reports and proposals. The party has allocated three hours for a question and answer session, followed by a presentation of a political report by RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane. After passing all reports and proposals, the date and venue of the first general convention will be announced, marking the conclusion of the assembly.
The reports and proposals for discussion at the national gathering were approved by the central committee of the party in a meeting held on Monday. The RSP has urged party members to ensure the assembly is organized in a grand and orderly manner. Leaders have expressed confidence that the assembly will strengthen the party and make it more people-centered.
