Rs 1.30 billion allocated for sports infrastructure, national pride stadiums in Mulpani and Biratnagar

KATHMANDU, May 28: The government has allocated Rs 1.30 billion for the development of sports infrastructure, including the ongoing construction of the Mulpani Cricket Stadium in Kathmandu and the Girija Prasad Koirala Cricket Stadium in Biratnagar, which have been designated as projects of national pride.

KATHMANDU, May 28: The government has allocated Rs 1.30 billion for the development of sports infrastructure, including the ongoing construction of the Mulpani Cricket Stadium in Kathmandu and the Girija Prasad Koirala Cricket Stadium in Biratnagar, which have been designated as projects of national pride.


Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun announced this while presenting the budget at the Federal Parliament on Tuesday.

The budget also outlines plans for the completion of the Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium in Bharatpur, Chitwan, in collaboration with federal, provincial, and local governments. Additionally, the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground will be upgraded, and the construction of the Fapla Cricket Stadium in Dhangadhi will be expedited.
