A gathering of the leaders of the dissident faction of the RPP-N, held at Jamal-based Hotel Yellow Pagoda, formed the parallel central committee.
Party leader Padma Sundar Lawati has been nominated as party chairman while Ganesh Sherchan has been named as Co Chairman of the party.
Likiewise, Dilbikash Rajbhandari, Pralahd Shah, Satyaman Lama, Sone Lal Yadav, Rama Thapa and Rup Singh Thapa have been named as Vice-chairpersons of the party.
Similarly, Shyam Timalsina, Balkrishna Neupane and Ramu Rai have been named as General Secretaries while Tirtha Shrestha has been named as Tresurer. Sagun Sundar Lawati has been named as party spokesperson.
Party has also named 13 deputy general secretaries and a deputy spokesperson.
The gathering has also accused the party establishment side of being moving in individualistic and arbitrary manner.
The faction claimed that they are obliged to form the parallel committee in a bid to safeguard the party against party chairman Kamal Thapa’s policy of capitulation.
RPP-N’s dispute had come into forefront ever since the nomination of lawmakers from the party under proportional representation category, last year.
The Lawati-led faction had launched a party purification movement against Chairman Thapa since July-August of 2014.
