KATHMANDU, Mar 6: Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) Nepal has withdrawn its support to the KP Sharma Oli-led government. The meeting of the presidium member held on Wednesday decided to pull back support to the incumbent government, informed General Secretary Keshav Jha.
RJPN withdraws support to govt
The emergency meeting of the party was held after the Kailali District Court on Wednesday sentenced Lawmaker Resham Chaudhary among ten others with life imprisonment, who were accused of masterminding the Tikapur massacre in August 2015 in which seven police personnel and a little child were killed.
The party has criticized the government for not addressing their demand including withdrawing political cases against its leaders and cadres involved in the Madhes movement and the constitution amendment among others.
