Renault set for Nepal debut

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Renault cars will soon be seen on Nepali roads. SG Global has acquired dealership of the famous French automobile brand and is planning to introduce six models in the market.



SG Global is introducing Sandero, Clio, Megane, Koleos, Duster and Latitude in November. [break]



“All these models and their variants will cost between Rs 2 million and Rs 6.5 million,” a source at SG Global told Republica.



Sandero is a crossover with 1.5 liter diesel engine. It has features like power steering, driver´s airbag, height adjustable front headrests, rear doors child lock, internally adjustable side mirrors, power socket, lights on warning buzzer, engine undercover protection, rear window wash/wiper and body color bumpers.



Clio, on the other hand, is a hatchback with 1.2 liter petrol engine. It has features like power steering, body color bumpers, dual airbags, parking sensors, AC with climate control, power windows, central locking rear wiper and defogger.



Renault Koleos is a SUV with 2.0 liter diesel engine. It has features like controls on steering, sun roof, folding rear seats, music system, adjustable driver seat, steering adjustment, rear defogger, rear wiper, remote fuel filler, remote boot, central locking, power windows and AC.



Duster is also SUV but with 1.6 liter diesel engine. It has features like folding rear seats, rear AC vent, tinted glass, music system, driver seat adjustment, steering adjustment, rear defogger, rear wiper, remote fuel filler, remote boot, central locking, power windows, AC, rear seat belts, fog lamps and airbags.







Renault Latitude is a luxury sedan with 2.0 liter diesel engine. It has features like electric front and rear windows with one touch control, remote central door locking, radio with fingertip remote controls, hands free Bluetooth telephone kit, automatic locking of all doors and openings when in motion, keyless entry with Renault card, electronic stability program, automatic ignition of warning lamps while emergency braking, automatic air conditioning, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake distribution and brake assist, six airbags, cruise control with speed limiter, ignition cut-off system and automatic front wipers with rain sensors.



“We are very hopeful about the sales of Renault cars in the Nepali market,” the source added.
