“Nepali tourists are more in number in the first month of the season,” he said, “Nepalis come during Dashain and Tihar.” The location is near from Kathmandu and lately the trend of Nepalis visiting domestic destinations is flourishing because of which the number of tourists has increased.
Tourists visiting the park reach tourism sites like Langtang, religious site Gosainkunda. They also go for the Tamang Heritage trail. The district sees fewer numbers of tourists between mid-July and mid-October.
Most tourists come to the district between the period of October to mid-November and from mid-March to mid-May. Tourists visit touristic areas all year long. But three months are not suitable for tourism because of which the number decreases, according to the national park records.
The tourist influx has increased in the areas as tourists can reach there without guide and porter. “Tourists come to Langtang area for trekking,” Gajurel said, “The trekking trail is short and easy because of which tourists are attracted to it.”
