A team from the Division Forest Office, Gorkha, rescued the pangolin immediately.

Gopali further said the pangolin might have reached the area in search of food. Pangolin is smuggled for the use of its scales for medicinal purposes. It is believed that diseases like cancer and asthma are cured through the use of its scales.

Out of the eight species of pangolin in the world, two—Kalo pangolin and Tame pangolin - are found in Nepal, he added.
