KATHMANDU, Aug 3: Floods and landslides during this monsoon season are estimated to have damaged infrastructure worth Rs 3.33 billion.

The major destruction has been observed in road segments of the Araniko Highway, which is estimated to cost around Rs 1 billion to repair. In the first week of June, heavy rainfall raised the water level in the Bhotekoshi River and local rivulets, seriously damaging the Araniko Highway.
