After Lamichhane's victory was confirmed, NC candidate Shrestha promised to deal with the suffering of the voters in a stronger manner than in the past.

Rabi was elected from Chitwan 2 in the House of Representatives elections held on November 20. The by-election was held after he lost his position as an MP following the Supreme Court’s verdict on a citizenship dispute. It is certain that he will repeat the victory in the by-election with a vote margin bigger than the previous election.
