Likewise, 12,828 were injured in the Kathmandu Valley, 455 in the eastern region, 7,190 in the central region, 1332 in the western region, 36 in mid-western reign and 2 injured in the far-western region.
A total of 79 foreign tourists have lost their lives while 50 others are injured. Police said 240 Nepali citizens and 106 foreigners are still missing.
Police further informed that bodies of 8567 have already been handed over to their relatives so far. Among the injured a total of 6018 are still undergoing treatment in different hospitals.
As many as 6 Nepal police personnel, 9 Nepal Army personnel, 1 Armed Police Force personnel, 11 Civil Service employees have also been killed in the great earthquake. Likewise, 183 Nepal police personnel, six Nepal Army personnel, 32 APF personnel were injured in the earthquake.
The devastating earthquake damaged a total of 462,646 houses.
Of the total structures, 67,181 houses in the Kathmandu Valley, 45,930 in eastern region, 200,862 in the central region, 145,428 in the western region, 3,195 in the mid-western region and 50 in the far-western region have been damaged.
