Qatar Airways starts direct flight to Dublin from Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, June 14: Dublin welcomed the first Qatar Airways flight from Doha on Wednesday, inaugurating the new daily service that connects Dublin to the world, the Doha-based carrier said in a statement.

KATHMANDU, June 14: Dublin welcomed the first Qatar Airways flight from Doha on Wednesday, inaugurating the new daily service that connects Dublin to the world, the Doha-based carrier said in a statement.

Now, the Qatar Airways will fly directly to Dublin from Kathmandu through the Doha transit, it added. Speaking at a press meet organized by the Consulate of Ireland in Kathmandu, Honorary Consul of Ireland to Nepal, Manoj Shrestha, requested to the Country Manager of Qatar Airways for Nepal, Jayaprakash Nair, to reduce airfare for both Nepali migrant workers and students going Ireland for studies. He also requested the airline to organize youth exchange programs between Nepal and Ireland to promote each other's cultures and values.


Responding to Shrestha, Nair said he would take needful action regarding these issues.
