JANAKPUR, Sept 28: The Madhesh province government has announced a public holiday on Thursday on the occasion of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, a festival for people from the Muslim community.

Issuing a notice here on Wednesday, Acting Secretary at the Ministry of Home, Communications and Law, Uttam Prasad Kharel, has said that a public holiday has been declared for September 28 on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, a special festival of the Muslim community.
