JANAKPURDHAM, April 1: An emergency meeting of the Province 2 government has decided to provide Rs 300,000 to the families of those killed in massive storm that struck several villages in Bara and Parsa district.

As an immediate relief support to the victims' family, the meeting decided to provide the monetary support.

The meeting chaired by Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut decided to expedite rescue and relief operations in storm-affected areas. "We have decided to bear all expenses for the treatment of those injured in this tragedy," the chief minister said.

The meeting has also decided to launch rehabilitation program to the storm-affected families. At least 27 were killed and over 600 injured when the massive storm devastated various parts of  Bara and Parsa districts on Sunday evening.
