Provincial governments to conduct SEE now on

KATHMANDU, Dec 20: The provincial governments have been entrusted with the reasonability to conduct the upcoming Secondary Education Examination (SEE).


According to the National Examination Board Office, Class 10 Exam Controller Bishnu Prasad Adhikari, the province level was granted the authority to hold SEE, the old self of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exam, in the wake of implementation of federalism in the country.

Poudel further shared that the Education Development Directorate under the Ministry of Social Development will be conducting this exam. 


He shared that the concerned agency in the Central Capital would send the question papers. Rest other responsibilities such as printing of the answer copies, appointing the Chief of Exam Centre among others would be taken care of by the Provincial government. 


Earlier, the SEE was conducted by the Office of the Exam Controller Office in Bhaktapur. The answer sheet upon the completion of the exam would, however, be sent to the Controller's Office which would examine the answer sheets and publish the results. 


The upcoming SEE is being held from March 24, 2019, in which around 480,000 students are appearing in the exam.
