On Wednesday, more than 60 UML and Janata Samajwadi Party leaders including Yadav, who is also a member of UML's Madhesh province, joined NC in the party entry program organized by the Regional Working Committee in Laxminiya Rural Municipality of Dhanusha.
Yadav, who joined NC, said that he left the UML after CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli started using dictatorial tendencies and single rule in the party and did not seem serious about the citizenship problem in Madhesh.
Yadav said, “All the family members in my house were NC supporters before. However, for some reason, I left NC. Now I have returned to my old house.” To prevent him from entering NC, the UML cadres had reached the venue of the event organized by NC.
As the leaders of UML and JSP left the party in the run-up to the elections for members of the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies, NC is likely to benefit in the upcoming elections.
