KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, has said the private sector is the main source of employment in the country.
Minister Bhandari made this statement while addressing an interaction program with the stakeholder bodies and employers in Kathmandu on Wednesday. The National Vocational Training Academy, Bhaisepati organized the interaction under the slogan 'Our Commitment for Skill Development: Ensuring Prosperous Nation' and with the objective of employment promotion.

"The government does not give employment; it gives the facilities,” Minister Bhandari said, “The private sector is the main source of employment as the private sector itself is the employer globally."
Minister Bhandari also announced on the occasion that a Domestic Employment Division is being formed under the Ministry to promote domestic employment.
“The establishment of the Domestic Employment Division under the Ministry will promote the feasibility of employment within the country and drive ahead the domestic employment sector,” he added.
