KATHMANDU, March 12: The current President of Nepal, Bidya Devi Bhandari's term ends today.
Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel was elected as the new president on March 9. Bhandari will now leave Sheetal Niwas.

According to her secretariat, Bhandari will move from Sheetal Niwas to a private residence at Budhanilkantha-2 Chapali. She is preparing to move to a private residence on March 13.
Bhandari was elected to the post of President for the first time on October 28, 2015. After that, she was elected for the second term on March 13, 2018.
The swearing-in ceremony of Ram Chandra Poudel, who was elected as the new president, will be held on Monday (tomorrow). As the post of Chief Justice is currently vacant, Acting Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki will administer the oath to Poudel.
